Dark Fortress II

(Yet) Another remake, this is Dark Fortress II. I actually can't remember what I named the original one, but I'm going with Dark Fortress this time around - a bit of a nod to Norwegian Black Metal .

I kept the original castle design and painted over it; my facebook page (link below!) has a few WIP shots that show the progression. I've learned that whenever I work on an image that shows a large amount of scenery, it takes me more time than a mid-range shot; I guess that should be obvious :/. I have this tendency to spend too much time on minor details. In this case, I tried to add as many touches of colour as possible while still respecting that I was painting a night scene. Oh, and of course this is definitely inspired by my love of Castlevania and Dracula! Hope you like it.
